CIBSE Technical Symposium 2016

BB present case study of the Hybrid Ventilation eco-pod

Breathing Buildings attended the 2016 CIBSE Technical Symposium at Heriot-Watt University. Dr Owen Connick highlighted the amazing impact engineers can have on a project if they are engaged at the start of a process. The case study on the net zero energy Costa Coffee eco-pod in Telford was used to demonstrate how integrated design can really create a paradigm shift in how we think about and use energy. See http://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/CIBSE/201605/20/ for more details.

Being part of the CIBSE Technical symposium is important for not only are we able to share our own innovative ideas, we benefit from the insights of others. Owen wrote a short opinion piece in the May 2016 CIBSE Journal http://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/CIBSE/201605/22/ highlighting the benefits of attending these great events – many thanks to all the organisers of the CIBSE Technical Symposium.
