Burntwood School wins RIBA Stirling Prize 2015

Burntwood School, a large comprehensive girls’ school in Wandsworth, London by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) has won the coveted RIBA Stirling Prize 2015 for the UK’s best new building. https://www.architecture.com/StirlingPrize/RIBAStirlingPrize2015.aspx

Breathing Buildings are proud to be associated with this project, for which we provided the ventilation system to the school hall. The roof-based draught mitigation ventilation system is core to the values we uphold at Breathing Buildings; that children should be provided with plentiful amounts of fresh air in a draught-free way which doesn’t cost the earth in terms of heating bills!

Many congratulations to AHMM architects, with whom we have a wonderful and flourishing collaboration on other education projects.
